Excursions during IFAT 2022

On the occasion of IFAT 2022, we will again be offering interesting excursions to state-of-the-art facilities this year. Use the free chance to see first-hand innovative solutions and get an idea of which potential could be hidden also in your plant!

These HUBER solutions can be seen at the Bayreuth wastewater treatment plant (capacity 300,000 p.e.):

• Mechanical preliminary treatment with HUBER Multi-Rake Bar Screen RakeMax® CF and HUBER Multi-Rake Bar Screen VersaMax®
• HUBER combined solar and regenerative sewage sludge drying with 7,000 m² drying area and 100,000 m² digested sludge per year
• HUBER grit treatment system with a capacity of 6000 t/a, including grit intake, coarse material removal and grit washing

Heating and cooling with wastewater

The House of Bavarian History was opened in June 2019 and shows the emergence of modern Bavaria. The HUBER ThermWin process was chosen as the solution for heating and cooling the museum:

• Extraction of 70 l/s from the sewer
• 2 HUBER Heat Exchanger RoWin
• Heating capacity 2 x 280 kW
• Cooling capacity 2 x 500 kW

STP Vohburg

• HUBER Drum Screen LIQUID replacing primary settling tank
• Reduction of electricity consumption by 80 % due to conversion from aerobic to anaerobic sludge stabilisation

STP Nuremberg

• Mechanical preliminary treatment with HUBER Multi-Rake Bar Screen RakeMax® and HUBER Safety Vision system for contaminant detection
• HUBER Wash Press WAP® units
• HUBER Coanda Grit Washer RoSF4

Innovative sewage sludge drying solutions

The waste management company Emter operates, among other facilities, a mono-sludge incineration plant with a connected HUBER Belt Dryer BT and waste heat utilisation from existing sewage sludge utilisation. The plant offers a capacity of 20,000 t/a dewatered sludge.

At the Penzing sewage treatment plant, a HUBER solar sewage sludge drying system has been in operation for several years including a HUBER Screw Press Q-PRESS® and a HUBER Sludge Turner SOLSTICE®.
