Screening in Pumping Stations

Increasing operational safety for pumping stations

Pumps and lifting units are used where wastewater needs to be lifted to a higher level so that it can be passed further on by gravity. However, the solids contained in the wastewater (coarse materials, foreign matter, fibres) often lead to a failure of the units used, as they cause operational downtimes due to clogging and blockages. Labour-intensive manual cleaning is required to restore the function of the units or, in the worst case, they even need to be replaced.

To ensure trouble-free and reliable operation of a pumping or lift station, the installation of an upstream screening system is the best solution.

HUBER has special screens and screening systems in its product range, which are especially suitable for pumping stations, shaft structures or lift stations and can be used both for sewage treatment plants and in the sewerage system. This increases the operational safety and availability of the pumping stations and significantly reduces material and personnel costs.

For smaller applications, the HUBER Pumping Stations Screen ROTAMAT® RoK4 is particularly suitable, and for larger applications the HUBER Multi-Rake Bar Screen RakeMax®, the HUBER Multi-Rake Bar Screen RakeMax® CF and the HUBER Grab Screen TrashLift.
